I know, I know… I said the workers were done, but it looks like a former foreman has come back to get them going again. No one expected the great Stratos to return and bring us a new map (well, we did).
Among his other maps, we can highlight the gym, the kitchen, and others… Our current plan is to expand the maps for version 1.0 as much as we can.
In this case, as you can see, we’ve recreated the dining hall just as we remembered it, but you’ll start to see changes in future maps—it’s still too early to say where, but you’ll see.
All of this represents a titanic effort on the part of the art department, both in planning and modeling, preparing the models for texturing, subsequent texturing, and, finally, the other part: integration into the engine and the creation of the corresponding combat maps (something we talked about earlier, remember??)
But… then, how many maps will there be? Good question, but we want to keep that a surprise until we deem it appropriate to reveal it. For now, I can tell you that the workers will continue stacking bricks, cement, and doing a lot of fine work on this prison of yours.
